I’m 13 years old and I’m in the 7th grade. I’m an atheist and, therefore, I don’t believe in God, so why must I study the Bible? |
The Bible is the most widely read book in the world. It has influenced the development of mankind as well as the Jewish nation. Even as an atheist you’re still affected by it. The question is not whether one should study the Bible but how one should study it. When Meretz was in charge of the Ministry of Education, many new educational initiatives were launched. These included new approaches to Bible studies that were relevant to all students, whether atheist, religious, or secular.
