The struggle for a just society is very important to MERETZ-YACHAD, but it’s inseparable from the struggle for peace. We support the social policy that you describe in your letter, but it’s impossible to achieve these goals when we need to invest large portions of the state budget in security. National instability makes it more difficult to achieve a just society. That’s why the peace process should be one of Israel’s top priorities.
