Party Membership

  How does one join YACHAD?

You can download a membership form from the MERETZ-YACHAD website, fill in the details, and mail it, together with the NIS 60 annual membership fee, to:

  How much does it cost to become a member of YACHAD?

The annual membership fee is 60 shekels (about $12).
The rate for younger members (17 years of age) is 25 shekels.
Donations in support of YACHAD’s activities are welcome. Donations may amount to but not exceed the legal limit of 900 shekels per household in a regular year and 1,800 shekels per household in an election year.



  What advantages does MERETZ-YACHAD membership afford in terms of the ability to influence Party and national policy?

A member who has paid the annual fee may vote and submit their candidacy for the Party institutions if they meet the criteria established by the Party Election Committee. Among the institutions whose membership is determined by elections are the MERETZ-YACHAD Assembly, comprising approximately 1,000 delegates, and the MERETZ-YACHAD Directorate, comprising approximately 60 members. Party members may also run for municipal office as another means of furthering MERETZ-YACHAD’s ideological principles.
