Married with two children, is a member of kibbuz Negba. Served in the IDF in the elite 'Sayeret Ramatkal' unit. Graduate of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem in economics and philosopy.

Was among the initiators of the 'officers' letter' which led to the founding of Peace Now and is still active in the movement

Active in the Knesset in promoting the peace process and in the struggle for social justice and represents the kibbutz movement in the Knesset

Led the struggle to ensure that commercial centers remain open on the Shabbat.



In the Knesset, member of the finance committee, the aliya and absorbtion committee, and the committee for foreign workers

Chair of the Knesset agricultural lobby.
