Born in 1063 in Kfar Kassem, where he lives. Married with four daughters. Graduate of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem in economics and accountancy. Active from 1987 to 1989 in the university students' union. A member since 1990 of Ratz (the movement for civil rights and peace). A member of the secretariat of Peace Now and from 1994 to 1996 its spokesperson in the Arab sector. Publisher of the Arab language quarterly Baliks. Member of the board of directors of Tsavta in Tel-Aviv.
