Meretz-Yachad Youth Objectives |
|
- promoting independent thinking and providing youth with knowledge and tools in the spirit of humanism, human rights, democracy, and social justice;
- developing social involvement and political awareness among youth;
- developing a young leadership that will be faithful to the principles of the movement, acquire leadership skills, and lead the movement on the basis of the principle of "the young guiding the young";
- engaging in political, social, and community field activity in general based on the principles of peace and social justice and among the underprivileged population in particular with an eye to reducing social gaps and promoting humanistic values;
- creating a social framework that provides an alternative to the nihilistic leisure culture that characterizes part of Israeli society.
